Julian of Norwich (1342-1416), an English mystic, experienced and articulated the feminine aspects of God’s love. “The fullness of joy is to behold God in everything,” she said. 

I like folding our towels: the body towel, the hand towel, the washcloth. I fold them and stack them in a pile in the hallway closet.  Here I am finding satisfaction in folding our towels. These towels give me a sense of caring for the immediate. While I am cooking, folding towels, or making the bed, I think of what Julian of Norwich has said. The spirituality of life is right here, in these moments of doing very simple, ordinary things.
