Living into Surrendering: Intention

Surrendering into Living, Day 2

O rescue me, God, my helper,

and my tongue shall ring out your goodness,

O Lord, open my lips

and my mouth shall declare your praise.

–from Psalm 51

The monks at the Abbey of Gethsemani, where I met Brother Rene, start the morning prayer with: Lord, open my lips, and my mouth shall declare your praise.

They enter the day through the door of the Holy.

Today, I will do the same, and be intentional about living surrender: what comes to me, and what wants to move through me.

Let us practice together to surrender into living today–bring intention and pray for grace. Release. Let yourself be held, instead of holding.

I have decided to live into surrender more consciously for 21 days, and share the journey with others, for the benefit of our own peace of mind, and the peace of those around us.

Off to work!
