Gratitude Journal, Day 6

Well Monday was an extremely busy day, and my neck was so tight! I seemed to rush through class after class at the library. The kids were doing research, which is always hard because they need things off the internet, and our equipment at school is so limited it’s frustrating. Still, we made it work, but I was managing a three-ring circus. By the end of the day, I was exhausted, but rather than feel sorry for myself I decided to take responsibility for taking care of myself and rushed over to yoga class. I was 5 minutes late, but I didn’t let that stop me. I felt so much better for doing that for myself!

Gratitudes for Monday, November 22

1. Grateful that I maintained patience and generosity towards the students under the day’s pressure.

2. Grateful to take a walk at lunch.

3. Grateful for my faithful volunteer who helps me in the library. I couldn’t do it without her!

4. Grateful for the attentive and generous yoga teacher.

5. Grateful to come home and have a refuge at the end of a busy day.

Thankfulness feels good — try it!
