Gratitude Journal
For the past year I have kept a daily gratitude journal. It’s been an amazing experience, and I particularly like reading back over it. Sometimes when I am feeling blue, I will leaf through the notebook and see all the things I have been grateful for, and other times, I will see patterns and threads in what I have been grateful for.
Starting today, until Thanksgiving, I will keep my daily gratitude journal online. I would like to encourage you to keep one alongside of me.

1. Grateful that my day at work went rather smoothly and that I had the patience to get through all I needed to do (I am a school librarian).
2. Grateful that I could take a walk at lunch today and have a chat with my sister on the phone.
3. Grateful that I was able to go to acupuncture today and receive help with my ailing shoulder (I have tendinitis).
4. Grateful I could sit in my bedroom chair tonight and have some quiet time.
5. Grateful for the healthy dinner I made myself (trout, spinach and mashed yams).
Now make your simple list!
